Main concept of Greenbin
Greenbin is an easy way to return used packaging by rewards.
Our cleantech project aims to motivate individuals to collect and recycle empty bottles with reward points. Then the points could be exchanged for new products, services, discounts, or donated for charity.
We have found that our gamified app with environmental goods based on the philosophy and success of the European deposit system leads to a measurable positive impact on consumer behavior and the environment.
Our partners: retailers, cafes, cinemas, and other brands provide deals for a loyalty program and get CSR-program for own customers, green PR, and advertisement.
Our customers: manufacturers of plastic packaging get transparent verified data and statistics about the amount of recycled packaging.
How does it work?
Our app connects manufacturers that already have obligations according to the new EU waste laws and consumers that identify used bottles before recycling and get rewards for doing the right thing.
All the user need is to find our location, identify each bottle before throwing to the recycling bin (by scanning a barcode or manually), put the QR-code sticker on the bottle, scan it and throw to the bin. After verification by the workers of the supermarket, the user will receive bonus points that could be exchanged for new products and services at our loyalty system.
What all these means is Greenbin collects and analyzes the data about recycled packaging received from consumers and provides it to the manufacturers for 1 cent per 1 recycled bottle.
2. How do users obtain your stickers for recycling?
The stickers are available at our locations. So, firstly we partner with retailers. They put recycling bins for plastic bottles in the separate area and there in the envelope will be the stickers. Stickers will also be available at the reception, customer support, and cash desk. So, the users can easily take the right amount of stickers from supermarkets and make the whole work of scanning the bottles just at home, avoiding people’s lines and other unpleasant situations.
